Abstract

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, education informatization has entered a new stage of intelligence. "Mechanical Drawing" is a basic compulsory course for engineering majors. Its abstract spatial thinking requirements and cumbersome drawing specifications make traditional teaching face many challenges. This article aims to explore the empowering application of artificial intelligence technology in the teaching of "Mechanical Drawing" course, analyze the pain points of traditional teaching, construct a smart teaching model based on AI, and propose specific implementation strategies from three dimensions: personalized learning path recommendation, intelligent assisted drawing and correction, and augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) integrated teaching. Research shows that the AI-powered teaching model can effectively improve students' spatial imagination, drawing efficiency and independent learning ability, providing a new path for the reform of engineering graphics education.
