Practice of Curriculum Ideological and Political Education in Hotel Hospitality English Teaching — A Case Study of Front Office Service English

Abstract
Against the backdrop of the booming cultural and tourism industry and increasingly close international exchanges, the hotel industry is in urgent need of interdisciplinary talents who possess solid professional English proficiency and strong professional ethics. As a core educational concept in the new era, Curriculum Ideological and Political Education has injected new vitality into Hotel Hospitality English teaching. Taking the Front Office Service English teaching for the 2024-grade students majoring in Hotel Management in vocational colleges as the research object, this paper adopts the action research method to carry out a 16-week teaching practice, clarifies the research design, multi-dimensional data collection and analysis methods, deeply analyzes the necessity and feasibility of integrating Curriculum Ideological and Political Education into Hotel Hospitality English teaching, and systematically excavates four types of ideological and political elements including professional quality and moral character. Combined with the core service scenarios of front office such as reservation, check-in, inquiry and complaint handling, specific teaching application strategies are put forward, the teaching effectiveness is presented through visual framework and quantitative charts, a section on teaching reflection and improvement is added and the guarantee mechanism is empirically adjusted. The purpose is to realize the organic integration of knowledge impartment, ability cultivation and value guidance, and cultivate more high-quality talents with both moral integrity and professional competence for the hotel industry.
